Returns only the fields of a market that change with each trade: prices, volume, trade and participant counts, and lifecycle. It is small and refreshes about once a second, so it is a good fit for polling a single market card. Load the market’s title, labels and branding once from GET /api/markets/:id, then poll this endpoint.

Caching

Cache-Control: public, s-maxage=1, max-age=0, must-revalidate. A response is never more than about 2 seconds old, so polling faster than once a second gains nothing.

Rate limit

Market state group, rate-limited per IP (see Rate limits). The group’s budget is shared with GET /api/markets/state. Responses may be served from a short-lived cache.
